deadline tonight for Vote Smart "Political Courage" Quiz

Libertarians are poised to dominate California's third-party responses to the Project Vote Smart "Political Courage Test". The nominal deadline (apparently for Vote Smart press release purposes) is 11pm tonight, but I suspect that candidates who miss it can still submit late answers.

Of the third-party candidates that Vote Smart lists as running for California's legislature and congressional seats, all either have completed the test or are pending completion. (I submitted my answers and faxed my signature today, so I'm "pending".) Ten of the LPCA's 20 congressional candidates are pending, as are 11 of our 15 candidates for Assembly, and 2 of our 5 candidates for California's Senate. 2 of the 6 Greens running in all these races are pending, as well as 4 of 7 Peace and Freedom candidates, and the lone American Independent candidate. (This yet more evidence that AI's registration numbers are inflated by confused voters. Even the not-ballot-qualified "Party for Socialism and Liberation, Peace and Freedom" is running twice as many candidates as AI is.)

I'm hoping every LPCA candidate meets tonight's deadline. It doesn't take very long at all to answer the checkbox questions. The optional free-form text answers also don't take too long if (like me) you quote liberally from the LP Platform, the Constitution, and from fellow Libertarians. :-) Here are answers from LPCA candidates, sorted roughly in order of the amount of detail written for the optional "expanded principles" sections. The three marked in italics (two of whom are economists) I found to be especially eloquent -- whereas mine were just long-winded even with a 100-word limit. :-)
